The Fifth Annual Conference of the Business Management Accountancy and Finance (BMAF) Network will be held in Newcastle at the Newcastle Marriott Gosforth Park on 20th and 21st April 2010. We are pleased to announce that this year's event will be run in conjunction with the Newcastle Business School at Northumbria University.

Assessment and Assessment Standards are current and continuing issues for Higher Education, not least with the results of the National Student Survey highlighting assessment and feedback once again as key areas for improvement.

Our 2010 Annual Conference provides an opportunity to discuss the current context for the UK and worldwide and share innovative practice in higher education relating to this important theme. We are now seeking contributions in the form of discussion papers, workshops, discussion groups and posters on this topic as it relates to your practice on the following themes:

  • Technological Approaches

For more information visit the Conference Streams page.

As previously, the BMAF Conference will offer a varied diet of discussion papers, workshops, plenary and panel sessions, posters, drinks reception and a dinner, as well as informal networking space.

This year the conference will be held at the Newcastle Marriott Gosforth Park Hotel, which has excellent conference facilities and access to the leisure club is available for full-package delegates.

We have been delighted at the increasing popularity of our conference, with a year-on-year increase in delegates from all over the UK and beyond, but the conference will succeed only with your participation. Please contribute to this by attending, by submitting a paper, being involved in debates, by making contacts, to ensure the conference is a valuable and memorable opportunity for you that will set the scene for years to come.
