BMAF Annual Conference

Bournemouth 10-11 May 2011

2008 Conference - Edinburgh

The Third Annual Conference of the Higher Education Academy Subject Centre for Business Management Accountancy and Finance (BMAF) was held in Edinburgh at the George Hotel on 29th and 30th April 2008.

The theme was "The Learning and Teaching Agenda in the UK: National Perspectives but Common Concerns?"

Over 150 delegates from 60 HEIs attended the BMAF Conference, and a total of 61 papers and 12 workshops were presented, along with a Key Note address from Dr. Bill Harvey, Deputy Director of the Scottish Funding Council.

The conference dinner was hosted by Napier University at their 'Scottish Baronial' Craig House campus. The feedback on the event was extremely positive, with lots of praise for the quality of the paper sessions and workshops, the supportive atmosphere, and the professional approach of the BMAF Team who organised the event. For those of you who submitted the feedback sheets you might like to know that the prize draw was won by Dr. Mary Meldrum of Manchester Metropolitan University.
