Conference dinner

The conference dinner takes place at Whitworth Hall, The University of Manchester on the evening of 03 July. Professor Greg Whyte, Professor of applied sport and exercise science, Liverpool John Moores University, celebrity trainer and Olympian will be the after dinner speaker. The menu for the dinner is below:

Starter:

Warm Goats Cheese on a Brioche Croute with Beetroot Salad and Walnut Dressing (V)

Main course:

Herb Crusted Salmon Supreme Scottish Salmon on bed of garlic infused Pomme Puree served with a fan of Asparagus with a Noilly Pratt and Creme Fraiche Sauce

Dessert:

Dark Chocolate Truffle set on a Ginger base garnished with Crème Chantilly and Fresh Fruit

To finish:

Tea, Coffee and Mint Crisps

Please make sure you advise us of any special dietary requirements when registering for the Conference, this includes highlighting if you are vegetarian.

Accommodation

Following feedback from previous years’ conferences delegates requiring accommodation will be responsible for booking their own accommodation. This gives delegates more flexibility in terms of where they stay and how long they stay for and the ability to choose accommodation to suit their own budget.

Student accommodation can be booked directly with the venue at a cost of £50.40 per night bed and breakfast for a single en-suite room at George Kenyon Hall, University of Manchester. Please note spaces are limited and are available on a first come first serve basis.

Each bedroom has en-suite facilities and is part of a five bedroom single sex flat. Each flat has communal kitchen facilities should you choose to make use of them. Breakfast will be provided in the restaurant adjacent to the exhibition hall.

Bedding and towels are provided but there will be no toiletries or hairdryers. There is also no internet access available in these bedrooms.

Cancellation

The HEA operates a no refund policy. If a delegate is unable to attend an event they may substitute another member of their institution/organisation. The Higher Education Academy reserves the right to modify or cancel any event if unforeseen circumstances arise. A full refund will be offered in this case.
