This event will bring together academics in the field of operations and supply chain, with both a service and manufacturing focus, to share good practice in teaching and learning in this discipline.

10:30 Coffee 

11:00 Welcome from Elaine Harris, Director of RU Business School

11:15 Agree minutes from last meeting. Reconfirm objectives and aims of the SIG following our preliminary meeting in April 2011.

11.35 Update on Virtual SIG activity/meeting space

11.45 Guest speaker from CIPS and/or CILTS (IOM) OR Demonstrations of accreditation at other universities (eg. Glamorgan/Liverpool)

13.00 LUNCH

13.30 Interactive session 1 (Using numerical exercises in supply chain teaching – discussion on the extent to which this should be done and best practise approaches)

14.15 Coffee

15.00 Interactive session 2 (Share tactics for engaging students in the subjects within the cluster)

15:30 Finish and agree next meeting
