LOCATION/VENUE: University of Central Lancashire, Preston, UK

Description

This free to attend participatory workshop, hosted by Lancashire Business School  is supported by funding from the BMAF Subject Centre and the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC).

It aims to generate discussion and debate about the use of technology to enhance employability and support work-based learning. The JISC funded TELSTAR project will present some of the outcomes of the project. There will be presentations on the use of e-portfolios for work-related learning; using technology to support accreditation of prior learning, using e-portfolios to support employability, mobile-phone resources for employability and other topics from a range of Universities and projects.

The BMAF Employability Special Interest Group and TELSTAR Project would like to invite you to present your experience of the use of technology to enhance employability or work-related learning. If you would like to present your work please e-mail a title and short abstract (100 words maximum) to Beverly Leeds (bleeds@uclan.ac.uk). We welcome presentations from those new to the use of technology for employability and work-based learning as well as those more experienced practitioners and researchers.

However, if you would just prefer to join us for the debate and discussion you are welcome to do so.

To submit an abstract e-mail, contact Beverly Leeds at bleeds@uclan.ac.uk
