The programme was as follows:

  • Welcome: Professor Huw Morris, Dean of MMU Business School/Pro-Vice-Chancellor Enterprise
  • The ICE (Ideas, Creativity and Entrepreneurship 80/20) Scheme at MMU, Fernando Lourenco, David Taylor and Tony Taylor won the 2009 Enterprise Educators award sponsored by BMAF at the NCGE Conference, Edinburgh
  • The Future for BMAF: Clive Robertson:
    The challenges ahead for BMAF and the HE Academy within reduced resources
    Seeking Key Contact’s views and suggestions for the priority areas of activity which will give maximum impact in:
    o Supporting individual staff
    o Supporting business and management schools
    o Improving the student learning experience
  • Developmental Initiatives
    e.g. The 21st Century Business Academic; Islamic Studies; ITALIS; Discipline-focused Enhancement Academy; UK PSF, Fellowship and CPD
    Raising awareness, sharing outcomes, more or less of the above? Where next? How?
