The session will aim to explore whether we should seek to provide professional qualifications within academic project management programmes and, if so, what qualifications are most appropriate.

The objectives are to update participants with the progress of the network to date; to understand professionalization issues in PM and to establish how good practice can be shared. By the end of the session participants will have gained a better understanding of and developed some ideas for:

• Identifying opportunities for the enhancement of project management learning and teaching
• Sharing project management good practice with regard to professional accreditation
• Agreeing an action plan for future work
