Undertaking a placement is a key component in developing employability skills for many students. In the current economic climate the complexities of the tripartite relationship between student, employer and university bear further examination. How can academic staff ensure that students are well prepared to make the most of placement opportunities? What happens if a placement goes wrong? Are all placement providers altruistic? Come and share your experiences of the positive and sometimes challenging practices you have encountered.
If you would like to present a 200 word abstract on the theme of Preparing for Placement should be emailed to Geraldine Hammersley by Monday 2nd November.
This workshop is now full booked. To reserve a place on the waiting list, please email Karen Pettit on bmaf@brookes.ac.uk
