The BMAF Network serves to help all discipline groups and staff in this field to provide the best possible learning experience for students undertaking higher education

The ABS Development Programme for Directors of Learning and Teaching (DPDLT) is open for booking for the 2011/12 cohort.
This programme, developed in association with the Higher Education Academy BMAF subject centre, explores the challenge of this role, helping participants to create a supportive network, to exchange good ideas and experiences and build confidence in order to make individual and collective progress. It is open to all Directors of L&T in business schools, those with similar roles such as Director of Student Experience and also those that aspire to such positions.
The facilitator for the programme is Berry O’Donovan, Head of Learning and Teaching Development in the Business School at Oxford Brookes University. Berry is a National Teaching Fellow with a focus on improving assessment and feedback practice and enhancing student learning and engagement in large classes on which she has published extensively. From 2005-2010 she was Deputy Director of ASKe (Assessment Standards Knowledge exchange) a centre for excellence in teaching and learning.
Full details, dates and booking form are attached and can also be reached here: http://www.the-abs.org.uk/?id=158
Some comments from previous participants:
'The DPDLT sessions provided an excellent opportunity to share experiences and learn from each other, as well as various experts in teaching and learning.'
'It's worth going just for the food, but there's also tremendous professional and personal development through discussions/ self-analysis/ structured input and space for reflection away from the workplace'
