The BMAF supported Project Management Network for Excellence in Learning & teaching has its own Website hosted by Bournemouth University.

As business - both public and private - continues to change to management by project, the requirement for highly skilled, knowledgeable and qualified project management staff will continue to grow.

Added to that, the ever changing nature and content of project management and need for HEIs to operate at the most effective and efficient manner increases the need to know what and how best to provide the learning that future project staff will need.

While information on how the discipline is evolving is available from sources such as Project Management Body of Knowledge and the Rethinking Project Management workshops led by Manchester University.

This Network has been established for all those interested in excellence in the learning and teaching of project management.

The essential aim of the network is to generate debate and share good practice by supporting academic staff in their role of improving the student experience.

The three broad objectives for its first year (2008) were:

  • to identify those interested
  • to create and compile a set of resources
  • to make these resources available to SIG members.
