  • Action on Access 
    AoA is the national co-ordination team for widening participation in higher education. It offers a consultancy and information service for universities and AimHigher partnerships, provides a national advisory helpline for disability practitioners and provides a programme of work with FE and He institutions to embed widening participation policy and practice in their policy and reporting.

    This website is designed to support delivery by Aimhigher practitioners at an area level. It contains programme information and news, examples of Aimhigher activities, communications resources, links to related websites and a contact directory.
  • DART: Disabilities Academic Resource Tool
    This website provides access through a searchable database to a wealth of advice and guidance on providing a more accessible curriculum and meeting the needs of disabled students.
  • Enabling Achievement within a Diverse Student Body (CETL)
    This CETL was based at the University of Wolverhampton and aimed to support students from a diverse background and enable their success.

  • JISC-TECHDIS Inclusion Technology Advice 
    JISC TechDis is a UK advisory service on technologies for inclusion. It explores and promotes inclusive practices, resources and advice for learning and teaching in UK higher education, further education and skills sector, and independent and specialist colleges.
  • QAA Code of Practice 
    QAA's Code of Practice provides guidance on maintaining quality and standards for universities and colleges subscribing to QAA. Section 3 of the code addresses best practice with regards to disabled students.
  • SCIPS - Strategies for Creating Inclusive Programmes of Study 
    SCIPS is a resource, primarily for teachers and trainers, offering strategies for promoting inclusive teaching, learning and assessment within programmes of study taught at degree level (including foundation degrees).
  • Skills - The national bureau for students with disabilities 
    SKILLS closed in April 2011 but its website still contains a wide range of of resources aimed at disabled students.
  • South West Academic Network for Disability Support (SWANDS) 
    SWANDS was a HEFCE funded project of nine HEIs in the South West, co-ordinated and managed by the Disability Assist Services at the University of Plymouth. It resulted in the 'SENDA Compliance in Higher Education' document which acts as an audit and guidance tool for accessible practice within the framework of teaching and learning.
  • Improving the degree attainment of Black and minority ethnic students
    A commentary published by the HEA and Equality Challenge Unit to provide higher education institutions with ideas and examples on how to support Black and minority ethnic (BME) students to achieve a better degree classification on graduation.
