The pack is intended to complement materials presented at institutional 'new lecturers' courses by providing a subject specific focus on the topics commonly covered.
It has been produced for recently appointed teachers within schools of architecture, but the contents may be of interest to all teachers of Architecture and include a selection of CEBE’s briefing guides and other materials. These aim to provide a concise overview of particular issues in Built Environment Education. Much of the information contained within the pack is informed by educational research, undertaken by researchers who understand how students learn, and what motivates them to learn. Sometimes it is difficult to apply this theory to architectural education with its emphasis on studio teaching, but it is hoped that the information contained within the resource pack will simplify the process.
