CEBE has been part of an EU funded Leonardo da Vinci project ‘Tech Transfer', partnering with institutions from Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia and Greece. A comparison was made of the strengths and weaknesses in higher education output standards for construction engineers at a european level. The work entailed an analysis of vocational training needs & skills gaps, an assessment of how qualifications are achieved across the EU and factors that influence how well graduates are prepared for the workplace. A pan-european course module for construction engineers and the built environment was designed at postgraduate level that focused on innovation adaptation and new technologies.
