One of CEBE's key roles is to support innovation and enhancements in learning and teaching practice across the Built Environment disciplines. Each academic year, the Centre makes available a series of grants of up to £6K for innovative projects which demonstrate a clear benefit to the built environment student learning experiance. Applications are invited and advertised in our e-bulletin, newsletter and on our website. Examples of proposals might be as below:
- The development of a teaching resource, such as a set of guides or course materials, web based resources, the production of a DVD or CD, a teaching pack, exemplar module or workshop session
- A mini piece of educational research, for example, the evaluation of an existing course
- Trialing of a new teaching method or technique
- Establishment of a new network of academics across HEI's to focus on a specific learning and teaching issue of common concern
- The roll-out and embedding of new practice in a course/module/department
