Internationalisation of Curricula & Teaching Practice
Internationalisation is interpreted in a variety of ways in Higher Education ranging from attracting more international fee paying students to UK institutions to developing cross-cultural competencies to increase the employability of UK students in a globalisation economy.
Broadly speaking there are two issues that emerge in internationalisation with relevance to the student experience:
- Teaching international students
- Internationalising Curriculum content
The Higher Education Academy's Teaching international Student (TIS) project is offering an international student lifecycle resource bank and supports events on good practice for teaching for/with international students. In respect to internationalising the curriculum in the Built environment disciplines, please see the results from a scoping study by CEBE under 'Papers'.
