Background
Change Academy was first delivered in 2004 in partnership with the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education. This successful programme has been offered annually since.
It is a year-long process that includes specific development opportunities for nominated team leaders, an ongoing support network and a four-day residential providing a creative environment in which the whole team can focus on planning and developing strategies for lasting change.
It supports both rapid innovation and capacity-building for longer-term change. This is a unique, high quality process for professional learning providing knowledge and approaches that can be cascaded more widely, access to consultants with national and international experience, dedicated support from the Higher Education Academy and the Leadership Foundation, and a wide range of resources.
The same model and methods have now been used for a number of specific, themed areas such as:
- enhancing learning through technology
- inclusion
- quality enhancement
- sustainability
We will continue to provide a flexible, rolling programme of support for institutional strategic change with an enhancement-led focus.
