Lesley-Jane Eales-Reynolds is now Director University Learning and Teaching at the University of Westminster.
Prior to this she was Professor of Immunology and Health Science Education at the University of Portsmouth and Director of a Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, the ExPERT Centre, which focuses on technology-enhanced learning in the healthcare sciences. She is particularly interested in authentic assessment and clinical simulation.
Lesley-Jane has long been interested in a student-centred approach to learning and has developed a range of interactive teaching media to support students in their study for which she was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship in 2001. More recently she has been exploring the application of heutagogy in postgraduate teaching and learning.
Lesley-Jane is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Chair of the Association of National Teaching Fellows and the recently formed Healthcare Simulation Education Research Group (HSERG). Her recent work has focussed on the use of simulation to teach a range of skills in diverse professions including communication and leadership skills in the health service.
