Supporting new academic staff through partnership and reflective practice

This event will disseminate the outcomes of phase 2 of the SHEER (Scottish Higher Education Enhancement Research) projects which are aimed at exploring how partnership approaches, involving Subject Centres and Educational Development working together, can enhance support for new academic staff.
The day will begin and end with plenary sessions establishing an overview of the projects and involving discussion and debate; parallel sessions in the morning and afternoon will provide an in-depth look at the projects and their findings. There will be a marketplace session over lunch with materials for new lecturers from the Higher Education Academy's Subject Centres and from institutions' PGCert programmes.
The event will primarily be of interest to educational developers, course leaders, new academic staff, and Academy Subject Centres and their key contacts.
