This seminar explores an on-campus social enterprise model by the university to pursue widening participation objectives is particularly innovative and offers a new route to engage with traditionally hard-to-reach groups and to achieve project sustainability.
The seminar reviews the social, economic and commercial rationale behind the project. It will also explore ways in which common ground was identified between institutional priorities and community interests. The second part will explore the development of the original proposal, the progress of Lottery funded market research and next steps to pursue the con-campus social enterprise model.
