Promoting the Student International Experience – Bologna 2010
- Date: 18 Mar 2010
- Location/venue: Atlantic Quay, Glasgow
A conference delivered in partnership with NUS Scotland, Higher Education Academy, Universities Scotland, Edinburgh Napier University and Scottish Bologna Experts, and with the support of the Scottish Government.
As part of the celebrations surrounding the tenth anniversary of the Bologna Process, Scotland’s students are seizing the opportunity to discuss the enhancement of student mobility in Scotland at this
event.
The conference, which is focusing on the promotion of mobility and wider Bologna issues, is aimed at Scottish students and higher education stakeholders interested in student-led promotion of mobility.
The objectives of the event are to:
share good practice on promoting mobility.
shape a statement regarding student mobility and engagement in the Bologna Process beyond 2010;
establish student/stakeholder partnerships and craft a joint student/stakeholder message on mobility and Bologna.
In addition to the one-day conference, there will be a pre-conference day of training for students on Bologna-related issues at the same site on 17 March. The hope is that students who take part in the pre-conference training day will also attend the main conference in order to share their views with stakeholders.
For stakeholders, the conference will offer opportunities for networking and a range of good practice sessions on the promotion of mobility within higher education in Scotland, as well as offer a valuable insight into the student perspective on mobility and Bologna.
The deadline for registration for the conference is 24 February 2010.
There is no cost to attend this event.
