The National Student Survey as a Quality Enhancement Tool in Scotland

This one day, free of charge event is designed primarily for Scottish HEIs participating in, or planning to participate in, the National Student Survey. It will provide opportunities to discuss and share models for realising the enhancement potential of the NSS.  The focus will be on use of data in designing, developing, and implementing positive changes for student learning experiences.

This will include:

  • discussion of NSS survey data arising from Scottish institutions
  • examples of practice from institutions across the UK regarding
    • strategies for securing greater student participation in the survey (or other institutional surveys),
    • engagement of staff with the process and results of the survey, and
    • institutional responses to survey results.

 

Who should attend?

The event is aimed at the full range of those involved in NSS processes and practices:

  • Academic staff with programme leader / management responsibilities
  • Senior managers
  • Educational developers
  • Registry and administration staff
  • Student representatives.
