Islamic Studies Network PhD Workshop

The Islamic Studies Network is organising a two-day residential event for PhD students in Islamic Studies and related disciplines. There will be approximately 25 places available for the event.
The aims of the event are:
• To allow PhD students in Islamic Studies and related disciplines to network and share experience related to their postgraduate programmes.
• To discuss and provide guidance on issues related to PhD progression, career development, and teaching practice specific to Islamic Studies.
• To develop a network of postgraduate students with interests in Islamic Studies.
The event will start at 10.30am on 8 February, and close at 3.30pm on 9 February.
Venue information
The event is being held at Aston Business School Conference Centre in Birmingham (http://www.conferenceaston.co.uk/)
Accommodation will be provided on 8 February and all meals will be provided.
Application guidelines and costs
Participants must be PhD students in Islamic Studies or related disciplines at UK higher education institutions (HEIs).
There is no charge for PhD students from publicly funded UK HEIs.
Up to two free places per institution are available for students of private institutions whose degrees are accredited by publicly-funded higher education institutions.
