STEM Learning and Teaching Summit on Feedback in Higher Education
- Date: 1 Feb 2012 - 2 Feb 2012
- Location/venue: Holiday Inn Cardiff City Castle Street Cardiff , Wales, CF10 1XD
This is the first STEM Learning and Teaching Summit. This event has been designed to inform and influence institutional strategy and policy on Feedback within STEM subjects. Delegates have been specifically invited to this event due their expertise and we have chosen them to work with the HEA to develop its learning and teaching policy and position statements in relation to Feedback in STEM subjects.
The STEM Annual Summit residential event occurs over 24 hours and will start with lunch at 12pm on 1st February and close with lunch on 2nd February 2012 at the Holiday Inn, Cardiff.
The programme will encompass initial presentations to set the scene on the current HEA position followed by context discussions, barriers and enablers and how the team can take forward our thoughts ideas in a programme of work for the HEA in the future. In addition, outcomes of the event will be presented at the STEM Annual Conference in April 2012 and there will be a follow up meeting later in the year to discuss the outputs of the first summit meeting. A briefing paper will be circulated prior to the event.
