  • Date: 16 May 2012
  • Start Time: 11:30 am
  • Location/venue: Glasgow Caledonian University

This event is being hosted as part of the Higher Education Academy's Workshop and Seminar Series 2012

11.30-16.00

Information about the event:

This event brings together threads from current debate on transition and learning development support. Modes of delivery are considered in the context of the current economic climate, the restrictions it imposes and associated implications for practitioners and students. Colleagues with an interest in learning development are invited to share practice on inclusive models which promote retention and progression amongst ‘non-traditional’ students and which nurture a culture of independent learning. The complexities of managing student expectations and measuring effectiveness through institutional data will also be considered.
