External examining
We have collated the outputs from our research and development work on 'enhancing the support for external examining' into a Handbook.
In addition to the handbook there is also a substantial amount of literature on external examining within the HEA Resource Centre. This can be accessed using the search facility in the Resource Centre.
There is also an open access external examiners Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) discussion list for past and current external examiners, those interested in becoming external examiners and those engaged with external examining. A considerable amount of correspondence on the mailbase is from HE institutions seeking external examiners or external academics to serve on validation and review panels. Join the list or view the archives.
