Call for papers

The submission of abstracts is now closed.

The conference programme will be available soon. A combination of presentations, posters and workshops are invited in order to provide delegates with an opportunity to learn and network with colleagues and some of the best forensic practitioners.

Offers of contributions for oral presentations (20mins); workshops (60mins) and poster presentations are welcomed on any topic relevant to education and research in forensic science. A poster session and exhibition will be integral parts of the conference and poster contributions are particularly welcomed from students. 

Discounted registration fees will be available for accepted speakers and there are reduced fee places available to students to attend as a day delegate if they have a poster presentation.

Format for contributions:

Oral presentations
15 minute papers plus 5 minutes discussion and questions.

Posters
Posters may be displayed for the duration of the conference and should include leaflets with further information and contact details.

Workshops
60 minute interactive workshops with hands on activities and discussions. There will be laboratory space available for workshops. Please contact the organisers to discuss your requirements.

Demonstrations, displays of software, video etc.
Participants must provide their own equipment.

Abstracts of approximately 300 words should be typed in Times New Roman 12pt and emailed as a Word attachment to FORREST@hull.ac.uk by 11th February 2011.

Abstracts should include: informative title; author(s); department(s); institution(s); contact email address(es) and indication of the type of contribution being offered.
