Hellenizein, a beginners' language course in ancient Greek particularly targeted for Archaeologists and Ancient Historians, was developed by Eva Parasinou and Graham Shipley in the first round of Teaching Development Grants (TDGs).
Hellenizein was designed as a flexible structure to teach Greek within non-traditional classical courses, focusing language acquisition through appropriate sources in terms of content and type, including historical (numismatic and epigraphic as well as literary) sources. In 2004 Hellenizein was published in hard copy and distributed to UK Classics and Ancient History Departments and to copyroght libraries. Its publication details are:

In 2008, following requests from its display at the British Epigraphic Society Conference, CSC and the Hellenizein team decided to make the content of the coursebook available to download in two formats. Both formats incorporate corrections noted by users in 2004-2008.
Download Hellenizein teachers' copy (includes exercise key) (1.8MB pdf).
Download Hellenizein students' copy (no exercise key) (2.64MB pdf).
Any further corrections should be sent to Graham Shipley (University of Leicester).
Should be sent to the CSC Team, who will add it to the following list:
American School of Classical Studies at Athens, Graffiti in the Athenian Agora (Princeton, New Jersey)
