    Archaeology Image Bank now launched!

    Date: 15-06-2006

    Description

An Image Bank for Archaeology has been produced collaboratively between the Higher Education Academy and the Archaeology Data Service (ADS). This is now up and running following its launch at our 'Teaching and Learning in Archaeology' Conference on the 21st June. All images are downloadable free of charge for educational, non-profit making purposes, and all images are watermarked with the donators name for recognition. Institutional affiliation is also displayed on the relevant image pages.

The success of the Image Bank relies upon the cooperation of the community for its success; we are dependant on your support in donating images. Individual images can be uploaded via the website, and a database format is available for larger collections. We especially welcome images from recent excavations as we are aware that these are already in digital format and can be easily uploaded. Please note that the Image Bank has recently been expanded to include international images.

We welcome any comments and feedback on the Image Bank and its use.
