What are the Potential Benefits and Legacy of the 2012 Games to the East of England?
The second meeting of the Olympics SIG brought together colleagues who may be considering or already delivering course content related to the 2012 games.
The workshop provided the opportunity to share current work and insights about the Games, and to identify key areas which might be developed in case studies and resources for an Olympics SIG website.
There was also an update on the work of LinkBC, Canada, in preparation for the 2010 Winter Games.
As the East of England is hosting two Olympic events, and the University of Hertfordshire is a designated pre-training camp for the games, it was also an ideal occasion to hear from the East of England Development Agency about how the benefits and legacy of the games are being managed in the region.
