The Hospitality, Leisure, Sport & Tourism Network aims to encourage and broker the sharing of good learning and teaching practice across our subject areas of UK higher education.

The Learning and Teaching Institute at Sheffield Hallam University has published a series of best practice guides for the application of technology to deliver actionable feedback.
The guides are based on the findings from Technology, Feedback, Action!, a research project funded by the Higher Education Academy (during 2008/9). The project explored the impact of learning technology upon students' engagement with their feedback. The guides are intended to provide information and evidence to support change, and are aimed at students, academic staff, and senior managers.
The guides, along with full project information, can be downloaded from the EvidenceNetWiki website.
The Learning and Teaching Institute is also holding a seminar to share the methods and outcomes from the 'Technology, Feedback, Action!' project which will take place on Friday 14 May 2010. The seminar will offer practical advice to academic tutors, encourage staff to make effective and efficient use of technology-enabled feedback, and promote strategic thinking for senior managers around enhancing student engagement with feedback
