New Olympics SIG Convenors

We are pleased to report that Elesa Argent and Dikaia Chatziefststathiou will be co-convenors of our Olympics SIG for 2010/11.

Elesa is leading on the development of resources related to the 2012 Games to enhance learning opportunities and curriculum development, while Dikaia is leading on events, including the annual HLST conference in November 2010, which with take the Olympics as its theme, and SIG meetings. They will be working together on LINK 26 which will also have an Olympics theme.

Brandon Crimes was the SIG convenor in its inaugural year, 2009/10, and we are very grateful for his help and support. He continues as a member of the SIG. Brandon established links with our colleagues in Vancouver who are working to harness the learning opportunities available through the 2010 Winter Games and with whom we now have a Memorandum of Understanding which  encourages collaboration in our related endeavours and the mutual benefits which can be achieved.
