QAA Publishes Discussion Paper for Evaluation of Academic Infrastructure

Date: 8-March-2010

As part of an evaluation of the Academic Infrastructure, the Quality Assurance Agency has produced a discussion paper asking for views on how successful the Academic Infrastructure has been in meeting it's original intentions and how it might be developed in future.

The paper contains a number of questions about the role of the Academic Infrastructure, its relationship with other ways higher education providers set and maintain the quality and standards of their provision, and about the usefulness of each individual component of the Academic Infrastructure.

A shorter, summary version of the paper is also available, which may be of interest to students, employers and others with an interest in higher education.

The QAA are also holding a series of 'round table' discussion events to gain feedback on the Academic Infrastructure, the first of which will take place on 24 March and 1 April 2010. More information can be found at the QAA Website Events Page.

The discussion paper and summary papers can be downloaded from the QAA Website. The closing date for responces to the papers is 7 May 2010.
