HEFCE has published information on its new training resources, responce to BIS consultation and details of students number controls.

Every Researcher Counts Resources
HEFCE has published a pack of resources which address equality and diversity in research staff careers. The resources were produced as part of the HEFCE-funded Every Researcher Counts project which aimed to break down structural and cultural barriers to advancement by providing tools for universities to support research staff.

Responce to BIS Consultation on a regulatory framework for higher education 
HEFCE has published its responce to government proposals to reform the way higher education is regulated. HEFCE's response to this consultation outlines its preliminary thinking on key themes and issues raised, and sets out in detail the HEFCE position on the consultation questions.

Student Number Controls for 2012-13 
HEFCE has today (17 October) published information on the new approach it will use to implement the control on the number of full-time students that universities and colleges can recruit for 2012-13. This includes information about the process for bidding for 20,000 places which will be redistributed.
