

The Hospitality, Leisure, Sport & Tourism Network aims to encourage and broker the sharing of good learning and teaching practice across our subject areas of UK higher education.

People1st are running a series of events for HE Hospitality Academics that aim to answer questions about the Diploma in Hospitality, it's structure and content, how it is being delivered in schools and colleges of FE and how it may impact on current programmes.
The events are taking place on the following dates:
The programme for each event is as follows:

| 11:00 - 11:30 | The content of the Diploma in Hospitality (John Fenby, Manchester Metropolitan University). |
| 11:30 - 11:45 | Tea/Coffee. |
| 11:45 - 12:00 | The 'value' of each level of Diploma In Hospitality, how the Diploma equates with traditional qualifications for HE entry (John Fenby). |
| 12:00 - 1:00 | How the Diploma in Hospitality is being implemented: the concept of consortia and the benefits and drawbacks of the consortia approach (Geoff Booth, Westminster College and Mike Turner, University of Plymouth). |
