The latest bulletin from the Higher Education Academy Education for Sustainable Development Project contain the following item:

• Two PhD Studentships being offered at Birmingham City University's Centre for Research in Education: 1) Sustainability in the Curriculum & 2) Curriculum Design: The Student Voice. For details, e-mail Celia Popovic.
• Empowerment Skills for All: Analysing Gaps and Constructing a Learning Framework, a report by the Home and Communities Agency 
• Practice, Barriers and Enablers in ESD and EE: summary of desk-based research on teachers and schools 
• Are We There Yet? Journeys of Student Engagement in Sustainability, event report  
• Teaching Ethics to Bioscience Students: Sustainability and the Environment, Wednesday 9 December 2009, Cardiff 

In addition to this JISC is inviting proposals to develop a range of activities and tools aimed at improving business modelling and sustainability planning in the public and not-for-profit sectors for practitioners and policy-makers in the development of sustainable digital content.
Funding of between £75,000 and £85,000 is available for this work including all travel and other expenses and any VAT implications.
The deadline for proposals is 11 January 2010.
