SEDA Research and Development Small Grants 2009-10

SEDA are inviting proposals for SEDA Research and Development Grants to support the costs of development-related activity which examines how educational change is underpinned by scholarship, research and evaluation.

The scope of the call covers creative approaches to change in higher education, including e-learning, HE in FE, supporting diversity and developing and implementing learning and teaching strategies. The educational change may occur in central departments, faculties/academic departments, CETLs, HE Academy Subject Centres or other similar quality enhancement initiatives.

SEDA wish to encourage applications from three main groups:

  1. Those employed in central academic development centres or similar
  2. Staff in faculties/academic departments
  3. HE Academy Subject Centres, CETLs and other quality enhancement initiatives.

Up to 10 grants will be offered, each grant being normally a maximum of £500, though small additional amounts may be awarded to exceptional proposals. Individuals from two institutions/organisations may, exceptionally, make a combined bid for £1,000.

Deadline for submissions is 15 January 2009.
