The Hospitality, Leisure, Sport & Tourism Network aims to encourage and broker the sharing of good learning and teaching practice across our subject areas of UK higher education.

SEDA are inviting proposals for SEDA Research and Development Grants to support the costs of development-related activity which examines how educational change is underpinned by scholarship, research and evaluation.
The scope of the call covers creative approaches to change in higher education, including e-learning, HE in FE, supporting diversity and developing and implementing learning and teaching strategies. The educational change may occur in central departments, faculties/academic departments, CETLs, HE Academy Subject Centres or other similar quality enhancement initiatives.
SEDA wish to encourage applications from three main groups:
Up to 10 grants will be offered, each grant being normally a maximum of £500, though small additional amounts may be awarded to exceptional proposals. Individuals from two institutions/organisations may, exceptionally, make a combined bid for £1,000.
Deadline for submissions is 15 January 2009.
