The Hospitality, Leisure, Sport & Tourism Network aims to encourage and broker the sharing of good learning and teaching practice across our subject areas of UK higher education.

A recent workshop on the use of voting technology to support collaborative reflection has demonstrated an innovative new approach to learning and reflection.
The workshop which took place at the PDP Conference in Manchester was run by Nicholas Bowskill from the Faculty of Education, University of Glasgow. The approach used is based on a social view of learning and reflection that Bowskill calls Shared Thinking. It combines the 'snowballing' group learning technique with the use of either voting technology or interactive whiteboards.
More information on Shared Thinking, along with slides and case studies can be found at the Shared Thinking Website.
