What resources are on the HLST website?

The Hospitality, Leisure, Sport and Tourism network has many different resources that you can access, including:

  1. A-Z Resources Directory 
  2. Catalogue of New Publications 
    This is an online catalogue of new and forthcoming text books. Each book is listed by author and title, and includes a hyperlink to more information such as a general description, ISBN number, price, and publisher.
  3. Case Studies 
    Our case studies are grouped into themes, such as assessment or student support.
  4. Enhancing Book Series 
    This is a series of books developed by HLST in partnerhsip with Business, Management, Accountancy & Finance (BMAF) around themes of interest to educators, 
    containing a collection of case studies that outline successful approaches to the specified theme.  
  5. Guide to Current Practice 
    This guide provides an overview of topics of concern to those teaching in hospitality, leisure, sport and tourism with links to relevant sources and support materials
  6. HE in FE Teaching Resource Exchange 
    HLST's Teaching Resource Exhange is aimed at sharing resources specific to teaching HLST subjects for HE in FE.
  7. JoHLSTE
    JoHLSTE is the peer-reviewed, international e-journal of the Hospitality, Leisure, Sport & Tourism Network. JoHLSTE is published twice a year in the Spring and Autumn and is freely available via this website.
  8. LINK
    LINK (Learning through Innovations, Networks and Knowledge) is published twice a year, with each edition focusing on a different topic relevant to learning, teaching and assessment in our subject areas. LINK is sent free of charge to all our department contacts. Back issues are available online in pdf format.
  9. Research Gateway
    This is an online resource to support student research project work in Hospitality, Leisure, Sport and Tourism.
  10. Resource Guides 
    Our Resource Guides are intended to provide a compact, but essential guide to the texts, journals, websites and other resources in specific areas that may be covered within hospitality, leisure, sport and tourism programmes.
  11. Learning and Teaching Guides
    This is a series of publications useful to HLST staff interested in practical guidance on improving their teaching and assessment practice.
