The CETL explored and supported further development of the curriculum and, in particular, the use of PDP with students from diverse backgrounds across a range of subjects. It examined how these processes can be used to ‘bridge back’ to students’ prior experiences and ‘bridge forward’ to their future career aspirations.
Bridges CETL:

  • Developed institutional strategies, processes and learning environments designed to foster student engagement and promote development for life in a complex and ever-changing world.
  • Worked with course design and delivery which integrates the work of academic staff with that of professional support services.
  • Supported students in taking responsibility for their own development and in being able to evidence and promote their achievements.
  • Provided evaluated approaches, materials and resources to support employability and personal development.
  • Supported the practical implementation of educational theories and approaches designed to promote student development and evaluates their impact.
