The Association of Events Management Education (AEME) is the subject association for events management. The aim of AEME is to support and raise the profile of the events discipline through the sharing of education and best practice.

The Event Management Body of Knowledge (EMBOK) is a description of the knowledge and skills essential to create, develop and deliver an event. Its purpose is ‘to create a framework of the knowledge and processes used in event management that may be customised to meet the needs of various cultures, governments, education programs, and organisations.' 

The Sector Skills Council for Events Management is People 1st.

The QAA Subject Benchmark Statement outlines the curriculum for Events Management.

LINK 20 reviews the emergence of Events Management as a subject within the HLST grouping, its attractiveness to students and to employers, the career opportunities it offers, its differentiating curriculum characteristics and its future development.
