Habia

Habia is the standard setting body for the hair, beauty, nails and spa industries. It offers a point of contact for information for government on industry issues such as education and skills, and guidance on careers, business development, legislation, salon safety and legislation for the industry. Thus it is involved in creating the standards that form the basis of industry related qualifications including NVQs, SVQs, Apprenticeships, Diplomas and Foundation degrees, as well as industry codes of practice. 

The 14 -19 Diploma in Hair and Beauty Studies was launched in September 2009.
