Hospitality

The Council for Hospitality Management Education (CHME) is a voluntary non-profit making organisation. Membership is open to universities and colleges offering HE programmes in hospitality management. CHME's purpose is ‘to enhance the professional development and status of hospitality management education'. It works to enhance education through advancing hospitality research and pedagogic practice.

The European Council on Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional Education (Eurochrie) is the official federation for Europe, the Mediterranean Basin and Africa of International CHRIE, the leading international organisation that supports education and training for the world's largest industry. 

The Institute of Hospitality is the worldwide professional body for managers working in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industries. It offers support to members throughout their careers in the industry. Its primary purpose is "to promote the highest professional standards of management and education in the international hospitality, leisure and tourism industries". 

The British Hospitality Association represents the hotel, restaurant and catering industry to ensure views of the industry are conveyed to government and policy makers in the UK and internationally.  

The Council for Australian University Tourism and Hospitality Education (CAUTHE) is a membership organisation that aims to promote the development of tourism and hospitality education and research in Australia.

The International Hotel and Restaurant Association (IH&RA) is the global business organisation that represents the hospitality industry worldwide.

The Sector Skills Council for Hospitality is People 1st.

The QAA Subject Benchmark Statement outlines the curriculum for Hospitality.

The SPRIG website has a downloadable guide to finding resources for hospitality and catering.
