The British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) is the professional body for sport and exercise sciences in the UK. Its mission is to promote excellence in sport and exercise sciences.
BASES has three divisions:
The Institute for Sport, Parks and Leisure (ISPAL) is the professional membership body for sport, parks and leisure industry professionals. ISPAL was formed in January 2007 by the amalgamation of The Institute of Leisure and Amenity Management (ILAM) and The National Association of Sports Development (NASD). ISPAL aims to provide support, advocacy and professional development for those involved in the sports, parks and leisure industries.
