Guide to Current Practice

We hope that you will find this guide a useful resource. It provides an overview of topics of concern to those teaching in hospitality, leisure, sport and tourism and perhaps most importantly links to relevant sources and support materials. The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) academic infrastructure (code of practice for the assurance for the assurance of academic quality, frameworks for higher education qualifications in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and in Scotland, subject benchmark statements, and programme specifications) are illustrated and taken into account throughout.

This guide is by no means definitive - you will see that there are many aspects of learning, teaching and assessment that are yet to be included. This will be updated in the future with examples that will help to build the guide into a valuable resource. We welcome any suggestions or contributions for entries that would be useful additions to the guide.
