Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) ran for the first time in 2009; this year's PTES has already been launched and will be running throughout Spring 2010, with 70 higher education institutions from across the UK taking part.
Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) has run for three years from 2007 to 2009. It will not run in 2010 to allow institutions time to evaluate and act on previous PRES results and to undertake PTES. It will run again in 2011 when PTES, in turn, will take an enhancement year.
We are running two events focusing on specific areas of PRES. The first of was held on 2 March 2010 at the Higher Education Academy in York, entitled Enhancing the postgraduate research experience: exploring intellectual climate. See notes and presentations from the event. The second is on 6 July 2010 at Edinburgh Napier University and focuses on PGR skills, careers and employability. Details will be circulated via our mailing list when they are available.
The Academy is undertaking a range of enhancement activities in 2010 arising from the three years of PRES and would welcome involvement from anyone with an interest in enhancing postgraduate research provision.
Join our mailing list to receive information on PRES enhancement activities.
