Employability Visits

After successful completion of our employability resource pack (see above) we have been offering lecturers the opportunity to trial the activities contained within the pack. A common response from lecturers is to say "I'm not a careers adviser" so we are offering to come and visit you and colleagues to demonstrate how easy it can be to use the pack.

A popular alternative has been to run the activities jointly with lecturers in timetabled classes with their students to see how they can fit this resource into the curriculum as part of a skills development activity. If you are interested in running an employability session either with your colleagues, or with your students feel free to contact us for further details.

Employability Project

The overall aims of our employability project include the awareness-raising of the issues relating to employability skills development and collating and disseminating resources of relevance to the physical science community. In addition, we aim to customise existing resources for use in the physical sciences and develop additional resources which can be embedded into the curriculum. For more information see the JISC/DeL Project page.
