Briefing papers on the topic of student plagiarism, its avoidance and detection, have been produced both by the Physical Sciences Centre and JISC. JISC also fund the JISC Plagiarism Advisory Service (JISC PAS) for academics and students.

Copyright

Copyright, part of UK Intellectual Property (IP) Law, is a complex legal issue and as such, there are often no clear cut answers to what is and is not, acceptable use of copyright material. As with much legislation, copyright legislation is based on its interpretation and caution must be applied when deciding what is reasonable use of copyright material.
