Workforce Development: how much engagement do employers have with higher education?

This report set out to review the quantitative evidence of employer demand for higher-level workforce development.

The focus was on the provision of higher-level work-place learning for employees, and the extent to which demand for this level of learning was being met by providers of Higher Education (HE.) Several established sources of evidence exist and a number of membership organisations, planning bodies and funding agencies have expressed increasing interest in Level 4 activity in the light of the growing emphasis on the skills agenda.
