The lessons and evidence from a current HEFCE-funded, whole institutional curriculum change project is presented in the context of recent conceptual thinking and theoretical frameworks for enhancing
curriculum in higher education. The paper draws out practical findings of relevance to academic staff, educational developers and
senior managers involved in large-scale and rapid curriculum enhancement initiatives.
