Using Digital Earth Technology in Sustainable Development Education

Sustainable development issues span many spaces and scales, but requiring students to appreciate these diverse contexts is challenging. Google Earth provides continuous global satellite imagery and is an accessible and powerful analytical tool that offers exciting opportunities to embed world sustainability themes within the curricula of most subjects.
